Can There Be A More Joyful Noise Than The Cry Of A Newborn Babe?

TheDiscipleMD

I don’t know for sure what it is about being part of a family. I don’t ever look at any other little kids like I do at my own grandchildren. All the other little boys and girls can be rather annoying to me, but my own; well they can also be annoying from time to time ,but…well their mine.  Yes, there is something special about families. They are truly ordained of God!

Several years ago I spoke with a client and mentioned to him that we have a son who had twins on the way. I had known him for years. He is an elderly gentleman whose wife passed away some seven years ago. He lit up when I told him about twins. He related to me that he and his wife had twins and then spent the next 30 minutes telling me about their delivery. I could scarcely get in a word. He scratched his head a number of times tying to remember the particulars about the whole event, but the joy on his face never left. I let him go on and on because I could see he relished every minute of telling the story. He left a happy man with a sparkle in his eyes and an extra skip in his step. He had relived one of the most joyous moments of his life.  No matter what religion, no matter what the faith of the person I am talking to regarding this subject, we all agree on one point.  Birth is a miracle! Who can dispute it!

It is a wonderful blessing to be a partner with the Lord in giving life. I am wrought up to repeat some verses of the 95th Psalm.

“O come, let us sing unto the Lord: let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation. Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto him with psalms. For the Lord is a great God, and a great King above all gods. In his hand are the deep places of the earth; the strength of the hills is his also. The sea is his, and he made it; and his hands formed the dry land. O come, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before the Lord our maker. For he is our God; and we are the people of his pasture, and the sheep of his hand.” (Psalms 95:1-7).

Can there be any more of a ‘joyful’ noise than the cry of a newborn babe?  So, each day that we rise we have cause to celebrate  and to recognize that it is only through the mercy and love of the Lord that we get to enjoy such blessings. It is through His great plan of salvation that we are blessed to be a part of a family in this life.  Being part of a family carries with it a membership that opens the door to an eternal life of joy and happiness! Let us remember to raise a joyful noise of thanksgiving each day,  to our Heavenly Father, through personal prayer, in recognition of He who gives us all.
