The Father’s Reflection!

TheDiscipleMD

“Son,

I just got your letter regarding your question on seeing the Lord while still in the flesh……..upon reflection, I had that same desire on my mission and set a goal of age 30 to accomplish it. I am now much older and happy I have not had this experience yet. You may ask why? Well, where much is given, much is expected! Although a worthy goal I have found that I struggle being obedient to the knowledge that I presently have obtained. The more I learn the more accountable I become………I have come to the conclusion that I need to concentrate on the basic two principles written in the gospel of St Luke:

‘And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself.’ (10:27)

This is the essence of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Practice it daily and you will find that you will see the face of Christ everyday as you look in the mirror while shaving and brushing your teeth. You will see it as you walk the streets and see your reflection in a car window, or in a puddle of water. This should be your goal.

Concentrate on obeying Luke 10:27, and the rest will take care of itself…………Listen to the spirit whispering to your soul. It will bring you truth and knowledge of the mysteries of the kingdom. Do not become fanatical, as this leads to intolerance. ” And faith, hope, charity and love, with an eye single to the glory of God, qualify him for the work.” (D&C4:5)

It is a wondrous goal to see Christ while in the flesh but even more wondrous to see Him in your own reflection- Love Dad.”
